Alchemy & Alibis is book one in the new paranormal cozy mystery series from Sophia Gale.
Most witches and wizards live in what you might call “normal” towns and cities around the world. From New York to New Delhi, they make their homes alongside humans and usually do a pretty good job of blending in. Sure, you might hear the occasional story of a haunted house (usually just some teenage witches and wizards showing off their summoning skills), or how your co-worker’s cousin’s neighbour’s sister-in-law won the lottery three times in a year (a luck spell in overdrive), but for the most part they’ve chosen to hide their magical abilities in favour of living a normal life.
Some, however, choose the not-so-normal life. They live in one of a handful of magical towns like Avaleas Falls, where cauldrons bubble in the kitchen, talking animals are commonplace and everyone is a magic user.
Everyone except for me, the girl who has the famous last name but no magical powers to speak of.
